The Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity is holding its 14th Annual 24-Hour Softball Tournament beginning on Saturday, October 9th and continuing on through Sunday, October 10th at Freiberger Field behind Kelvin Smith Library at Case Western Reserve University. The games start at 12:00 P.M. on Saturday and we will wrap it up around 12:00 PM on Sunday. All proceeds from the tournament will benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Rainbow Chapter.
Teams may choose to enter the competition in a friendly bracket (single game) or a tournament bracket (multiple games). Teams participating in the tournament bracket may advance to further games for a shot at the championship and the winning team will receive a prize. We honor requests for first round game times as best as possible, but please keep in mind that it will be first-come first served.
The entry fee for the tournament is $50 per team of 10, all of which goes to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Rainbow Chapter. A full team of 10 is not necessary to play, however, because many brothers of Phi Kappa Psi can gladly step in to fill the final spots of teams. Additionally, individuals may sign up as free agents for a fee of $10 and play for teams who are unable to field ten players.
The tournament atmosphere is relaxed but exciting - there will be food, music, and other entertainment available. Even if you don't plan on playing please stop by! Weather permitting, a massive slip and slide will be held on the slope of freiberger field - don't miss it!
